Not just 1000 meals a week - add love, care and prayer

Twenty-five women voluntarily cook 1000 meals each week, for a Vietnamese children's hospital. Vietnamese families have to care for their sick in the hospital as there is no catering staff and nurses are tied up with serious medical tasks.

This service to the community started nine years ago and operates on faith, they have no income other than the gifts that they receive from
local Christians. Their love and care for the sick produces so much fruit. While the women are cooking the lunch meal, another team
gives out the meal tickets. This team of ten people will pray for the sick children and try to encourage faith in Jesus. They put families in
contact with churches near their villages for pastoral support. When I visited in October last year, 1,800 (so far that year!) were known to
have professed faith in Jesus.

When funds are low, they buy food with their own money. They are local humble believers trying to do their bit to reach out to people going through a difficult period in their life.
