Abandoned women offered training and hope for better future

In Jessore, a city of 2.7 million, there are literally thousands of abandoned women who have been widowed or divorced or that have come out of abusive situations that are now living in chronic poverty. There are also many children living on the streets vulnerable to human trafficking.

IN Bangladesh have a training programme of three months (four times a year) where 80 women and 25 children are given skills in traditional crafts which will earn them a living either selling their produce in the street markets or working in factories. The best five students in each course are given sewing machines to help them establish their own businesses.

We would like to help them find a better life and to lift them above the hopelessness they find themselves in.

We would like to ask if you could give $75 to help one person for one month of their training.

Could you help us with a gift of $100 to help fund this project?

Please note: Your gift is fully tax deductible by Inland Revenue at 33.3% for donations to disaster relief, community development, child sponsorship and NZ Aid projects. If it is for evangelism, church planting and supporting church workers it is refunded at 6% - being a refund of the portion of administration charges used to run the NZ office.
